SB 612 -- CONVEYANCE IN ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY

SPONSOR:  Engler (Tilley)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Corrections and Public Institutions by a vote of 8 to 0.

This bill authorizes the Governor to convey state property
located in St. Francois County to American Legion Post 416
located in Farmington.

The bill contains an emergency clause.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2007, FY 2008, and
FY 2009.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the legion post is going to
build a veterans' clinic, and they need this additional property
for construction purposes.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Engler.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
